Why SheeplSpirit

Sin, In Today's World Is There Any Such Thing, And Are There Real Consequences?  BUT Whatever Our Current View, Or Understanding..

                     Does The Bible Understand It?

Let's Go Back To (Genesis Chapter 3)..The Genesis Story, Which Is OUR Story Also, Gives Us Our Best First And Best Clue.

We Find Man Tempted.  And What Is the Temptation?

The Temptation To Play The Part of God.  In Genesis 3:5..You Will Be Like God Knowing God And Evil. "You Will Be Like God", There Is The Fundamental Temptation

Sin, In Other Words Is Centered In An Act Of Rebellion.  We Rebel Against Submitting To God.  WE WANT TO RUN THE SHOW

Doesn't It Go Something Like This?

  •  My Life's My Own, No One Is Going To Tell Me HowTto Behave
  •  What's In It For Me
  •  I'll Do As I Darn Well please
  •  You Got To Look Out For Number One
  •  I Know What I Want, And I'm Going To Get It

Let's Be Honest.. When I Make Such Statements, I'm Making It Quite Clear
The Center Of My Life Is "I"   THIS IS WHAT SIN IS..Making

"I" The Center Of Life Rather Than God

Harsh Words.. I KNOW, We've All Been There

You See, The "I" can Be As Simple As Not Wanting To
 Give Up Something

Or Thinking You Cannot Give It Up

Maybe, You Think The Cost Is To High

But You See, The "I" Is In Each Of Those Rationalizations

 Now The Consequences

me                                                                                 me

                      But First

You And I Have The Unique Ability To Do

As We Please, Just Ask Us. But Here's

   The Delima..

 I Can Abuse

          This Freedom

A Tree, A Turtle, A Tiger, Does Not Possess This. "I" On The Other Hand Possess This God Given Ability, And Should Utilize This Freedom.

Now, Which Do "I" Choose?

Love God, Or Choose To Love Myself?

The Consequences

        The Consequences

In Loving Yourself, You Choose To Seperate Yourself From God

And In Doing So.. You Also Seperate Yourself From Your Fellow Man.

Never Heard That One I'll Bet

* You See, If I Cannot See I Was Created For The High Destiny Of Fellowship With God, I Am Not Likely To Feel Bill Jones Was Created For That Destiny Either.

* With This Choice, I Can See Him As Just Dust, And Can Use And Manipulate Him To My Advantage.

 * I Will Not Have To Worry About Him Or What Happens To Him.

 *  And Should Bill Jones Possess The Same Attitude Say Toward The Smith's, And Brown's

 *  We All Are Now Trying To Play The Part Of God Against Each Other, And Lord Over Each Other.

And We All Turn Out To Be Pretty Poor At Playing God's Role.

Now Were Back To "I" Or God

The Consequences Of "I" And the Sin Choice (It's Going To Take Another Page)

The Consequences Are Our Choice, But More Importantly, Also Revealed On The Page Is The Fact They Are Eternal
